Description

She's wearing a manteau, which was a gown popular from 1680s to Luis XIV death. Mantua was made from a single length of fabric, instead of a bodice and skirt cut seperately. It was pleated over a petticoat and a stomacher. Dress had a square neckline and covered the shoulders. The back looked like this: tadarida.deviantart.com/art/16…

She's also wearing a form of a fontange - headdress made of tiers of wired lace decorated by ribbons and lappets. It was popular from 1680 to around 1710 in France. It was named after Marquise de Fontange, Luis XIV's mistress.
