1815 by Tadarida 1815 by Tadarida
1811-1820 Regency period.

By the end of the period, all classical influence fades. From 1811 Gothic decoration is getting more and more popular.
Various trimmings appear, Tudor and Elizabethan ruffs are back in fashion.
The bodice gains more shaping, the skirt is fuller and more comfortable, the shoulder line is broader.

The waistline is the highest in 1815 and then it starst to drop and tighten.

Fashion of Regency is one of my most favorite! I like the dresses with high bodice, hairstyles and accessories (collars, cuffs, scarves, hats). All this conjures up romantic thoughts and causes in my memory Pushkin's great works and Tolstoy's "War and Peace".
