Italy 1380

Medieval Italian dresses from the end of 14th century. Two ladies on the left are wearing fitted, silk dresses. Lady on the right's wearing houppelande, that came into fashion around 1380s and remained fashionable for men and women all around Europe for the next century. Women in Italy wore various headdresses, veils and hairstyles, but generally they didn't cover their hair as much as women in more Northern countries.
